My set up
So i am currently importing 2D dxf files from another piece of design software. I am then creating a toolpath and exporting that as a .CAM file to run on my 2 axis CNC mill.
The Issue
I am finding that this method created around 200+ operations for the machine to complete. This causes the machine to judder around curves from operation to operation. I believe the issue is with my nodes. When i import my drawing which has around 20 curves, artcam shows that each curve has around 10 nodes to it which means that there is around 200+ nodes in my drawing. Is this something that i can change on artcam express?
Where i want to be
I am wondering if it is possible to either make the toolpath one operation instead of the 200+ i get when I run it on the CNC mill? Or possibly an operation after every curve is done? Which would reduce my operations drastically. I am very new to all of this so maybe I am missing something very obvious. Or maybe its an issue with my mill? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
